Bria Halama, LPC

Bria Halama is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Divine Mercy University in 2021. She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings with individuals and groups, including children and adults experiencing depression and anxiety symptoms, grief, trauma, personality and other mood disorders, OCD, addictions, and a variety of other relational concerns.

Ms. Halama uses an integrative and holistic framework to understand each person she encounters, drawing from ongoing formation in psychology, theology, and philosophy. She believes that the human heart is ultimately trustworthy and good. Each person already has what they need within to heal and thrive in life and along with healthy support, a sense of purpose and meaning, and engagement in community and leisure pursuits, they can become who they were made to be.

She enjoys working with people of all ages, cultures, backgrounds, and faiths, but particularly feels drawn to accompany young adults through the elderly, couples and families, and those who desire an integration of the Christian faith into their counseling work and life. Ms. Halama uses a variety of client-centered approaches including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Internal Family Systems, and experiential exercises (breath work, guided meditations, and inner healing prayer) but mostly relies on the beauty and simplicity of human relationship in the therapeutic process.
