Madeleine Goldin, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who graduated with her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin. I work primarily with older children, teens, and young adults and has experience evaluating and treating anxiety, depression/mood disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavioral problems, and trauma. My approach is to empower children and families to use their strengths and resources to grow, heal, develop healthy coping strategies, and improve communication. Additionally, my goal is to work with families to minimize barriers and to achieve lasting improvement and developing the skills necessary to face stressors and life’s challenges in effective ways.
I use a multimodality approach based on the needs of her clients. Through strength-based, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and trauma focused approaches, I work collaboratively with each child and family’s individual goals. She is also trained in an evidenced-based parent training modality, Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT). I provide counseling to middle-school students at Thomas Jefferson Middle School through our collaboration with the Port Washington Saukville School District.
Bria Halama, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Divine Mercy University. I worked in a variety of healthcare settings with individuals and groups, including children and adults experiencing depression and anxiety symptoms, grief, trauma, personality and other mood disorders, OCD, addictions, and a variety of other relational concerns.
I use an integrative and holistic framework to understand each person I encounter, drawing from ongoing formation in psychology, theology, and philosophy. I believe that the human heart is ultimately trustworthy and good. Each person already has what they need within to heal and thrive in life and along with healthy support, a sense of purpose and meaning, and engagement in community and leisure pursuits, they can become who they were made to be.
I enjoy working with people of all ages, cultures, backgrounds, and faiths, but particularly feels drawn to accompany young adults through the elderly, couples and families, and those who desire an integration of the Christian faith into their counseling work and life. I use a variety of client-centered approaches including Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Internal Family Systems, and experiential exercises (breath work, guided meditations, and inner healing prayer) but mostly rely on the beauty and simplicity of human relationship in the therapeutic process.
Bonnie Halper, LPC, SAC, CMNS, CASDCS

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor & Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC). I am also a Certified Mental Health Nutrition Specialist and Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. I have provided mental health assessment and treatment since 2008. I obtained my Master of Arts Degree from Cardinal Stritch University and completed post-graduate training in treatment of trauma and suicide assessment and intervention.
I have worked with clients in an outpatient clinical setting where the focus was substance use disorders. I also worked in an institutional setting. I have worked with clients who presented with a broad spectrum of mental health concerns including those with adjustment and mood disorders, substance use disorders, and severe personality disorders.
I specialize in treating adolescents , adults and older adults with substance use disorders, chronic pain, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I am experienced in providing cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
Jolie Hersh, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in working with adults and older adults on mental health issues. I have previously worked in many different clinical settings including: inpatient psychiatric programs, hospital medical social work and discharge planning, and outpatient psychotherapy clinics. Having many years of counseling experience, I have worked with children, adolescents and adults on numerous psychological disorders including mood, anxiety and trauma-related problems. I have previous clinical experience treating individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma (PTSD), alcohol and drug problems, developmental and physical (medical) disabilities, ADHD/executive function problems, and marriage/family issues. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques in establishing a trusting therapeutic relationship and helping clients achieve their treatment goals.
Jeff Kroening, LPC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have over 35 years of experience providing effective mental health services that are responsive to the needs of adolescents, adults, couples and families. I have worked in various treatment settings in addition to my work at Comprehensive Counseling Services.
I understand that everyone has strengths and everyone faces difficulties. That’s what I appreciate about working with teens and adults. I help people identify their strengths and world views, I collaborate with them to develop strategies to address their challenges and provide personal encouragement to gain the traction needed to get started. I have worked extensively with adolescents and their families, couples, and individuals with mood disorders, trauma and grief. I also recognizes how important faith is for many people, and I encourage people I work with to bring their faith with them to their counseling sessions.
Regina Penn, LPC
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I graduated with a Master of Science in Community Counseling & obtained a Post-Masters Certificate in Clinical Mental Health from Mount Mary University.
I have experience providing quality assessments through clinical interviews & assessment based tools. I provide compassionate psychotherapy services to teenagers, young adults, adults, and the geriatric population. I have experience working with individuals with a variety of issues, including but not limited to, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and trauma. I also provide psychotherapy to individuals who are dealing with women’s issues, self-identity/self-confidence barriers, career challenges, and racial trauma.
I use a combination of evidence based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy. Additionally, while I work with and respect individuals from all walks of faith, I provide Christian based counseling to those individuals who wish to explore and grow in their relationship with God as part of the counseling process.
Sapir Sasson, LPC

Sapir Sasson is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who graduated with her MA from Northern Illinois University in 2015. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at UW-Madison.
Ms. Sasson has experience providing assessment and psychotherapy services to adolescents and adults in residential, partial hospitalization, private practice, and community outpatient settings. She has experience working with clients with a variety of presenting problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, disordered eating, behavioral issues, and parenting-related concerns. Ms. Sasson believes in a holistic, collaborative, and person-centered approach to treatment. She is experienced in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Parent Management Training. Ms. Sasson also works in our collaborative partnership with the Port Washington School District providing psychotherapy to high-school-aged students.
Ashley Schrauth, APSW
Ashley Schrauth is an Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW), who earned a Master of Science degree in Social Work, from Concordia University. Previously, Ms. Schrauth worked as a teacher, serving those in Elementary through High School. Ms. Schrauth has experience working with those with different abilities, and especially enjoys working with those on the Autism Spectrum. In the clinical setting, Ms. Schrauth serves adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral concerns.
Ms. Schrauth’s approach to treatment includes building a trusting bond, through the use of therapeutic rapport. Ms. Schrauth provides person-centered treatment, while utilizing curiosity to better understand those she serves. Ms. Schrauth uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Ms. Schrauth also works with the Port Washington/Saukville School District to provide psychotherapy to High School students.
Tim Shininger, LCSW, LMFT
Tim Shininger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). He received his Master of Guidance and Counseling from Bowling Green State University in Ohio in 1993. He completed post-graduate studies in marriage and family therapy at the Family Therapy Training Institute of Milwaukee in 1995. He is the Clinic Director and Owner of Comprehensive Counseling Services.
In addition to his clinical experience, Mr. Shininger has several years of administrative experience. Prior to operating Comprehensive Counseling Services, He served as Director of Outpatient Clinical Services at Ascension-Columbia St. Mary’s. He is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy and the Catholic Psychotherapy Association. He also serves as a counselor for seminarians discerning the priesthood at St. Francis de Sales Seminary in Milwaukee.
Mr. Shininger provides treatment for adolescents and adults with a focus on marriage and family issues. He has experience treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder as well as helping individuals with parenting issues, grief/loss, and marital communication/conflict. Mr. Shininger uses cognitive behavioral, Internal Family Systems, and systemic approaches in treatment. He has a special interest in studying the integration of principles of the Christian faith and the science of psychology.
Aimee Wiley, LPC-IT

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-In Training (LPC-IT), having graduated with a Master of Science in Education—Professional Counseling from Concordia University Wisconsin.
I have experience working with children, college-age students, adults, and couples. My approach is relational: I focus on developing rapport and trust with my clients, so they have a safe place to share their struggles and experience growth and healing in a collaborative setting.
I have helped those dealing with anxiety, depression, marital issues, divorce, grief, trauma, identity issues, and spiritual trauma. In my practice, I incorporate various counseling theories, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, and Adlerian Therapy. I am happy to work with all populations, and I also offer spiritually oriented therapy from a Christian perspective for those who would like that integration.

Diane Zausch, LPC, SAC-IT
Diane Zausch is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor–In Training who graduated with her Master of Science degree from Mount Mary University in 2023.
Ms. Zausch approaches the therapeutic relationship with care, curiosity, and nonjudgment. She believes people have the intrinsic capacity for growth and aims to provide a safe space to explore that capacity. She believes in building on a person’s existing strengths to navigate life’s challenges, and that change is possible through building a collaborative relationship. She has experience evaluating and treating adolescents and adults for depression, mood disorders, anxiety, trauma (PTSD), addictions, and behavioral concerns. Diane uses a person-centered and trauma-informed approach to therapy. She has experience using cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and EMDR treatment approaches.
