Harley Emberson, MSW, APSW

Harley Emberson is an Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) psychotherapist in training toward completing her Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) supervised hours. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with her Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2022.

Ms. Emberson has worked primarily with adults, older adults, and adolescents on issues of mental health that may be impacting one’s ability to function in day to day life such as: depression, anxiety, other mood and thought disorders, suicidality (for individuals as well as those bereaved from suicide losses), interpersonal violence, topics surrounding race and culture, hoarding (both individuals affected and their loved ones), criminal justice system-involvement, and trauma (individual, intergenerational, and community).

Ms. Emberson has experience working in inpatient psychiatric settings, residential substance use treatment, as well as community re-entry and job coaching support programs for the last 10 years. She approaches clients as the experts of their own experiences, and hope to partner with them along the journey of meaning-making and fulfillment of their own goals in this process. Ms. Emberson utilizes a strengths-based lens to validate clients while also encouraging and fostering room for growth.
